Library Rules and Policies

Circulation Policy

  • You MUST have your BMS ID to check out a book.
  • There is a 5 book checkout limit.
  • Library books have a 14 day checkout period.
  • Books may be renewed once (unless there is a hold placed on the book by another student).

Computer Policy

  • See Ms. Munson before using the computer.
  • You MUST have your school ID with you to use the computers.
  • You must have no fines or overdues.
  • Computers are for school assignments only.
  • One person per computer at a time.

Student Responsible Use of Technology

It is important for students and parents to be aware of the behavioral expectations, rights, and responsibilities they assume when using computers at school.  The links below contain the complete Student Responsible Use Agreement that each student and parent must sign in order to use district equipment and access the internet.  There can be disciplinary and legal consequences for inappropriate behavior online.  Be sure you have reviewed the policies well.

Fines and Fees

  • Damaged book fees start at $2.00
  • Lost and severely damaged books are charged replacement cost.
  • All fines and fees are to be paid in cash (no checks).
  • Any material that is 2 months or more overdue will be charged to the student as if lost.

Library Code of Conduct

  • ALL school rules apply in the library
  • There are NO food and drinks allowed.
  • Please respect the library space and everyone in it.
  • NO running or horseplay is allowed.
  • Students who violate this code of conduct will be restricted from using the library
  • Students who violate the District's Acceptable Use Policy will be restricted from using the Library computers.
