SLC & High School FAQs

Your High School Option Form is due to your Social Studies teacher or your Counselor by December 4, 2015!

FAQ

1. What if I turn it in late?

First of all; don't. Second, if you do turn it in late, be prepared to be put at the bottom of the pile and not getting one of your top choices... or maybe not any of your choices! Turn your form in by December 4!

2. What if I can't make up my mind about what SLC I want?

You can talk to your Counselor, go online to www.slzusd.org/slc, take the Career Pathways Survey in the back of the packet that was given to you by your Counselor, or just talk to your family and friends about which SLC they think is the best fit!

3. I want to go to East Bay Arts, but I heard they are closing.

EAST BAY ARTS IS STILL OPEN AND ACCEPTING STUDENTS! If you think EBA is a good fit for you, you definitely have the opportunity to go there! EBA is a small, comprehensive high school that is a great fit for lots of different kinds of students. Talk to your Counselor, visit www.eastbayarts.org or take a tour to learn more!

4. I'm planning on going to a high school in a different district. Do I still have to fill out the green form?

YES! If plans change, we’d hate for you to be without a placement. Filling out the form does not require you to attend any San Lorenzo High School, but it does save you a spot just in case.

5. Can I choose my SLC and my campus separately? For example, I want to go into the Futures Academy, but on the San Lorenzo campus. Can I do that?

No. There are 8 SLCs across the 3 campuses. You choose your SLC, but know that each is only on one campus. Arroyo SLCs are here: https://ahs.schoolloop.com/slcs East Bay Arts is here: https://eba.schoolloop.com/ and San Lorenzo High’s SLCs are here: https://slzhs.schoolloop.com/cms/page_view?d=x&piid=&vpid=1251955249670

6. Here can I get more information?
